Bread and Butter Custard
1/2 cp sugar
1/3 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
3 cps milk
4 slices buttered bread
1 - Beat the egg light with the sugar, nutmeg and salt.
2 - Add the milk; and pour into a medium-sized baking dish.
3 - Top with the slices of buttered bread; and bake about 45 minutes or until the bread is
brown and the custaqrd is firm throughout.
4 - Test by inserting a knife in the center. If it comes out clean, the pudding is done.
5 - Serve warm
