Sour Cream Apple Cake
1/2 cp shortening
1/2 cp cream cheese
1 1/2 cps flour
1/2 tsp salt
3 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cp sour cream
1/2 cp confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 - Cream the shortening and cream cheese; and work in the flour and salt sifted together.
2 - Tranfer to a board dusted with flour; and roll to 1/3" in thickness.
3 - Fit into a shallow oiled pan; and cover with the apple slices arranged in rows.
4 - Pour over the sour cream and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and cinnamon.
5 - Bake in a hot oven, 375 degrees F. for about 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and brown on top,
6 - Dust with additional confectioners' sugar; and serve while still warm.
