1/3 cp shortening
1 cp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 2/3 cps flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cp milk
1 - Cream the shortening until smooth and light; gradually work in the sugar; and add the eggs, and vanilla, well beaten.
2 - Sift the dry ingredients together; add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.
3 - Transfer to deep wiled cup cake pans; and bake in a quick oven, 375 degrees F. for 25 minutes
or until firm in the center and brown on top.
4 - Remove from the pans; and serve warm with fudge sauce.
