Bread Puff Pudding
2 cps milk
3/4 cp soft bread crumbs
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cp sugar
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cp milk
1 - Scald the milk; and pourm over the bread crumbs and butter.
2 - Separate the eggs; beat the yolks until thick; and combine with the sugar, soda, salt and vanilla.
3 - Add the bread; fold in the egg whites, whipped stiff.
4 - Transfer to a well oiled pudding pan; set in a pan of warm water; and bake in a slow oven, 30 minutes, or
until a knife comes out clean when inserted. 5 - Serve warm
