Uncooked Blackberry Pudding
1 small loaf white bread
1 qt blackberries
1 cp sugar
1 - Slice the bread and remove the crusts.
2 - Line a plain mould with the slices, fitting them firmly into place.
3 - Wash the blackberries; mash them; and add the sugar.
4 - When thoroughly blended add a layer to the mould; cover with a layer of bread and
continue this way until all the blackberries have been used.
5 - Make the last layer of thin slices of bread.
6 - Weight the pudding down with a plate; and chill in a cool place for several hours.
7 - Unmould; and serve with cream.
