3 cps brown sugar
5 tbsp butter
1/4 cp water
2 tbsp corn syrup
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp cream
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 - Combine the brown wugar, butter, water, and corn syrup; and stir until the sugar dissolves.
2 - Cook gently until a small amount when tried in very cold water forms a soft ball.
3 - Then add the salt and cream and continue cooking until a small amount when tried in very cold water
hardens at once and rattles agains the cup.
4 - Remove from the heat; add the vanilla, and pour into a shallow buttered pan.
5 - Mark into small squares when partly cooled.
