Scald 1 cp milk.
Add 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp salt.
Melt 1/3 cp shortening in this mixture.
1 - Let cool to lukewarm.
2 - When cool, add 1 egg and beat light.
3 - Add 2 yeast cakes wh ich have been softened in 1/2 cp lukewarm water.
4 - Mix in 6 cps flour, beating and mixing after each cup until dough becomes smooth.
5 - Place ball of dough in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double in size.
6 - Knead down, let rise again.
7 - Knead down and make rolls.
8 - Let rise until proper size and then bake in hot oven 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
9 - If sugart rolls are made, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
