Perfect Sponge Cake
Put in a 1 quart measure three egg yolks and 3/4 cp cold water.
Beat this together until you have a quart. Then add 1 1/4 cps sugaar
and beat seven minutes more. Sift together and add to above mixture 1 1/2
cps caske flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder. Add last three
egg whites beaten stiff. Bake in a tube pan about 55 minutes. Do not light
oven until after cake is put in. Set at 325 degrees. Do not sift flour before
you measure it.
