1 cp flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cp milk
5 or 6 tart apples
1 - Mix and sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
2 - Add milk and well-beaten egg.
3 - Mix well.
4 - Pare and core apples.
5 - Cut in sections.
6 - Dip each piece of apple in batter and fry in deep hot fat (340 to 375 degrees F.) until brown.
7 - Drain on unglazed paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
