6 tart cooking apples
6 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 - Wash apples.
2 - Put in saucepan.
3 - Half cover with water.
4 - Sprinkle with sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg.
5 - Bring to a boil and boil until skins are broken and apples are tender.
6 - Season with more sugar if too tart.
7 - Serve hot or cold with pan sirup and cream.
