1 qt tomatoes, fresh or canned
a little parsley
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cornstarch
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp soda
1 - Take 1 qt tomatoes, a little parsley, 1 onion, and 1 bay leaf. Add 2 cps water and let boil a few minutes.
2 - Strain through a colander and heat up again.
3 - Rub together until smooth 1 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp cornstarch and stir into the soup while it is boiling.
4 - When the mixture is smooth, season with salt and pepper, adding 1 tsp sugar and 1/4 tsp soda.
