Cream of Corn Soup II
1 can of corn
1 pt water
1 qt milk
1 slice onion
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp melted butter
salt & pepper to taste
1 -Take 1 can of corn. Chop then corn and cook it 20 minutes in 1 pt water; then rub it through a sieve.
2 - Scald 1 qt milk with 1 slice onion; then take out the onion.
3 - Mix well 2 tbsp flour in 2 tbsp melted butter, and while it is bubbling add slowly the hot milk.
4 - Cook until somewhat thickened.
5 - Pour this mixture over the corn and season it with salt and pepper to taste.
6 - Serve hot.
