1/3 cp butter
4 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 pt boiling water
1 - Take 1/3 cp butter, 4 tbsp flour and 1/4 tsp salt.
2 - Mix the flour and salt with half the butter.
3 - Add gradually 1 pt boiling water, stirring continually over the fire until then sauce begins tom boil.
4 - Let it simmer until it thickens.
5 - Put in the remaining butter in in bits, beating steadily until it is all worked in.
