1 cp salt codfish
2 heaping cups raw potatoes
1/2 tbsp butter
1/8 tsp pepper
1 - Take 1 cp salt codfish and after picking out all then bones, shred it into very small pieces.
2 - With it cook slowly, in enough water to keep them well covered, 2 heaping cups sliced raw potatoes.
3 - When the potatoes are soft, drain off the water and mash together fish and potatoes until they are light and no lumps are left.
4 - Then stir in thoroughly 1/2 tbsp butter. 1/8 tbsp pepper, and 1 egg which has been well beaten.
5 - Taking it up by spoonfuls, shape into balls and fry in frying basket in deep fat.
6 - Drain the balls on brown paper.
