2 lbs lean beef
1/4 lb suet
1 - Have 2 lbs lean beef and 1/4 lb suet chopped fine together at the butcher's and press it flat until it is like a steak, 3/4" thick
2 - Season it well with salt, pepper and a little onion juice.
3 - If preferred, small flat cakes may be made intead of a single steak.
4 - Broil the steak, or saute' the cakes in a frying-pan
5 - Add a little water to the juices in the pan and thicken to make gravy.
