Broiled or Fried Ham
slices of ham
1 - Cut thin slices from a ham.
2 - If it is very salty,let them soak in lukewaqrm water for about an hour.
3 - After draining and wiping them, broil 3 or 4 minutes, remembering to turn them often.
4 - Or they may be cooked in a hot frying pan after a piece of salt pork or a little
butter has been melted in it.
5 - Brown the ham, first on one side, then the other.
6 - Served with eggs fried in the same fat, or with poached eggs, the ham will make
a very good dish
