3 cps chestnuts
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cp cream or milk
1/2 cp melted butter
1 cp bread- or cracker-crumbs
1 - Boil in enough salted water to cover them 3 cupfuls of chestnuts
which have been shelled and blanched
2 - While hot, drain and run through a colandar or coarse sieve.
3 - Season with 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, and add 1/4 cp milk or cream.
4 - Take 1/4 cp melted butter and stir into it 1 cp bread- or cracker-crumbs.-
5 - Mix togeth4er the chestnuts and crumbs.
