Brown Sauce II
1 small onion, chopped fine
2 tbsp flour
2/3 cp hot water or hot stock
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 - To 2 tbsp butter browned in a pan add 1 small onion, chopped fine and let it brown
2 - Then stir in 2 tbsp flour and brown that.
3 - Moisten with 2/3 cp of hot water or hot stock and add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper.
4 - When it has cooked 5 minutes the sauce will be ready to serve.
5 - Omit onion of preferred.
