Winter Squash, Steamed or Stewed
1/2 cp milk
1 - When the squash has been washed and cut into quarters or into pieces 3 inches square,
scrape out the seeds and their mesh and cut away the peel.
2 - Either steam or cook in boiling salted water until tender.
3 - After draining mash the squash, adding butter, salt, and pepper, and if desired, 1/2 cp milk.
