Scalloped Tomatoes II
1 qt cooked tomatoes or 6 large-sized fresh tomatoes
buttered bread crumbs
1 - Use 1 qt cooked tomatoes or 6 large-sized fresh tomatoes.
2 - If fresh tomatoes are to be used, skin and slice them; if canned tomatoes,
drain off the juice, retaining the pulp.
3 - In a baking dish place alternate layers of tomato and bread crumbs,
having the top layer of breadcrumbs.
4 - If desired, a layer of grated cheese may be added above each layer of crumbs.
5 - Let them bake in a moderate oven 1/2 hour, and serve from the baking dish.
