1pt soft bread crumbs
1/4 cp melted butter
thin slices of apples
pudding sauce or cream
1 - Take 1 pint soft bread crumbs and mix them with 1/4 cp melted butter
2 - In a pudding dish place alternate layers of the buttered crumbs and thin slices of apples,
sprinkling each with sugar and a little cinnamon and nutmeg.
3 - Over the whole pour 1 cp mixed molasses and water, and cover with crumbs before
baking in a pan of hot water in a moderate oven for 45 minutes.
4 - Serve with pudding sauce or cream.
5 - Peaches or apricots may be used instead of apples.
