4 tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cps milk
1 - Beat 3 eggs slightly, adding to them 4 tbsp sugar, 1/8 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp vanilla or other flavoring.
2 - Stir into this 2 cps milk, either scaled or cold.
3 - When all are well mixed, pour into a baking-dish or into indivdual cups, and let it bake, standing
in a pan of hot waterin a moderate oven. 4 - Be careful lest the custard should bake too long.
5 - Test with the flat handle of a silver tablespoon or a silvere knife blade. When this can be run into the center
of the custard and come out without any of the custard clinging to it, remove the dish from the oven.
