12 or 15 prunes
1/2 cp sugar
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
whites of 5 eggs, beaten stiff
1 - Take 12 or 15 prunes, and, after washing well and soaking in cold water(enough to cover them)
for a few hours, let them cook slowly in them same water until they are tender.
2 - Removing the stones, mash the prunes or rub through a strainer; then cook 5 minutes with 1/2 cp sugar.
3 - When it has cooled, add 1/2 tbsp lemon juice and fold in the whites of 5 eggs beaten stiff.
4 - Let it bake in a buttered bakihng-dish in a slow oven for 20 minutes.
5 - Serve cold, using a boiled custard as sauce.
