1/2 cp rice
1 qt milk
1/2 cp sugar
a little salt
sprinkling of grated nutmeg
1/2 cp raisins
1 - Take 1/2 cp rice, wash thoroughly, and soak 1/2 hour.
2 - Stir it into 1 qt milk, adding 1/2 cp sugar, a little salt, and a sprinkling of grated nutmeg.
3 - Bake slowly for 2 or 3 hours, stirring occasionally during the first hour.
4 - Serve either hot or cold, with sugar and milk, or jam.
5 - 1/2 cp of raisins may be added before baking if desired.
