Southern Spoon Corn Bread
1 cp corn meal
1 tbsp melted fat
1 tsp salt
2 cps milk
1 - In 2 cps boiling water scald 1 cp corn meal, stirring well.
2 - After it has stood long enough to cool, stir in 1 tbsp melted fat, 2 eggs.
well beaten, 1 tsp salt and 2 cps milk making a thin batter.
3 - Turn into a greased baking-dish and let it bake in a slow oven 30 to 40 minutes
serving it with spoon from dish in which it was cooked.
