1/2 cp salad oil
4 cps fresh crab meat
2 cps soaked and squeezed bread
1 bunch shallots or 1 large red onion
2 cps crab gumbo
salt and pepper
1 - It is best to make cragb gumbo and stuff crabs on the same day, because the gumbo
or soup from crabs adds to the success of the stuffed crabs.
2 - Some cooks take the crab claws and shells that the crab meat has been taken from, put
them in a pot with 1 qt boiling water and use the stuffed crab after an hours boiling.
3 - It answers the same purpose as the gumbo.
4 - Put oil in an iron skillet; fry onions to light brown.
5 - Put in crab meat, add a little salt and pepper, then the bread, then 2 cps of gumbo in the
making orn liquid from crab shells. 6 - Cook for 15 or 20 minutes stirring all the time.
7 - Place in cleaned crab shell, toasted bread crumbs on top, and bake 20 minutes before serving.
