Three large plantains sliced lengthwise, 1'4" thick.
Fryn in as little lard as possible on dish.
Take dlean iron skillet, put in 1 cp sugar, brown, put in 1 cp hot water,
cook and stir until sugar caramel is melted; then put plantains
in the syrup and cook gently for 15 minutes.
Only the Creoles cook plantains this way.
