Italian Tomato Sauce
1 large onion or bunch shallots, chopped fine
1 can Italian tomato paste
1 pod garlic, sliced thin
2 cps chicken broth
salt and pepper
2 tbsp salad oil
1 - Fry onions and garlic in oil until nearly brown, add tomato paste, fry 10 minutes, add chicken broth and season well.
2 - Serve a plateful of plain boiled spaghetti. Sprinkle with Italian cheese, then pour the sauce over all.
3 - Be sure to have everything hot. This is the famous Italian dish. Serve claret with this and consider this a meal.
