3/4 lb butter
1 lb sugar
1 lb flour
1/2 cp milk
whites of 17 eggs
1 tsp salt
2 heaping tsp baking powder
1 tsp almond extract
1 - Cream the butter well, ad sugar slowly spoon by spoon, beating slowly all the time.
2 - When the mixture is cremy enough, add the well beaten whites, a little at a time,
alternating with a little flour until you have used both all up.
3 - Then add baking powder and extract, and bake in moderate oven.
