1 qt milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 cps sugar
2 envelopes Knox's gelatin
1 - Soak gelatin in 1 cp water for half-hour.
2 - Make custard of yolks of eggs, milk, and sugar, cook in double boiler
3 - Have arranged in deep bowl, 12 lady fingers, or 12 slices sponge cake,
mix custard with gelatin, beat whites of eggs stiff froth, mix with hot custard,
add 2 tsp vanilla, pour over cake in bowl, and set on ice for at least 3 hours.
4 - This is delicious frozen in refrigerator.
5 - If it is to be frozen, use graniteware to freeze in.
