Chocolate Fudge II
3 cps sugar
1 heaping tbsp cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp Karo Syrup(crystal white)
1 cp milk
1/2 bar butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cps nuts--pecans or peanuts
Put sugar, cocoa and salt in pot, and mix thoroughly then add Karo Syrup
and mix until it forms a sift lump in cold water, then remove from the fire and add
butter, when almost cold or cool enough to hold hand underneath the pot, addL
vanilla and beat until creamy, add nuts and pour into dish that has been buttered,
cut into squares when cold.
You may use peanut butter instead of nuts which makes a very delicious and creamy fudge.
