Roast Chicken IV
1 roasting chicken (4 or 5 lbs)
salt and pepper
1 cp thick sour cream
1 - Thoroughly clean and wash chicken.
2 - Rub inside and out with salt and pepper which have been mixed together.
3 - Then rub the inside of the chicken generously with butter.
4 - Fill sith "Bread Filling"
5 - Place in roasting pan in hot oven (400 degrees F.) and roast about 2 hours,
basting about every 15 minutes with spoonfuls of sour cream.
6 - WSeason with salt.
7 - If a thicker gravy is desired, 1 tbsp flour can be added to the liquid in the pan after chicken is roasted.
