Roast Turkey with Chestnut Filling
chestnut stuffing1/2 cp shortening
1/4 cp flour
1 - Dress and clean turkey and fill with "chestnut stuffing".
2 - Cream together shrtening and flour and rub legs, breast and wings.
3 - Place in roasting pan, cover tightly and place in hot oven (400 degrees F.) for 15 minutes.
4 - Season with salt
5 - Reduce heat to moderate (350 degrees F.) and finish roasting for 3 1/2 hours or until tender..
