Hot Salad Dressing II
1 tbsp goose, chicken, bacon fat or butter
1 tsp flour
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cp vinegar
yolk of 1 egg
1 - Melt the shortening and blend in the flour.
2 - Add the vinegar and stir until mixture thickens.
3 - Mix together the sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper and add to the liquid.
4 - Cook for 4 minutes
5 - Pour over the beaten egg yolk and mix well.
6 - Return to fire and cook 1 minutes longer.
