6 raw potatoes, sliced thin
1 cp milk
salt and pepper
1 - Put a layer of sliced potatoes in a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with salt, pepper and the bread crumbs.
2 - Dot with bits of butter.
3 - Repeat until dish is filled.
4 - Pour on the milk and bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees F.) about 1 1/2 hours.
