1 yeast cake dissolved in 1 cp warm water
5 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 cps warm milk
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cp melted butter
1 - Dissolve the yeast cake and add 1 tbsp of sugar and the salt and enough flour to stiffen to a sponge.
2 - Let rise for 1 hour, then add the rest of the ingredients using enough sifted flour to make a soft sponge.
3 - Let rise again, then roll out dough on a floured board and cover with a mixture of, 4 tbsp butter and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
4 - Roll like a jelly roll and cut in 2 inch pieces.
5 - Place on well greased pans and let rise for a third time, then bake in a hot oven (400 degrees F.) for 20 minutes
