1 cp brown sugar
1/4 cp butter, melted
1/2 cp sour milk
2 cps flour
1 egg, well beaten
2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp soda
1 - Mix the butter and sugar together and add the egg.
2 - Sift the dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk.
3 - Beat vigorously for 2 minutes.
4 - Pour into a shallow pan and bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes.
5 - Serve hot or cold, plain, with whipped cream or with "Cream Filling for Gingerbread"
