Gold Cake IV (Gelb Kuchen)
Whites of 6 eggs
Yolks of 3 eggs
3/4 cp fine granulated sugar
<1/2 cp pastry flourbr> 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 - Sift the flour 3 times.
2 - Beat the yolks of eggs until light, add the sugar which has been sifted several times and beat with eggs until mixture is creamy.
3 - Beat the whites of eggs until stiff adding the cream of tartar when partly beaten.
4 - Combine the egg mixture and fold in gently the sifted flour, then the vanilla.
5 - Do no beat.
6 - Pour into weell-buttered loaf pan which has been sprinkled lightly with flour.
7 - Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees F.) 1 hour.
8 - After the first 20 minutes, increase oven heat to hot oven (400 degrees F.).
