Sadye's Dill Pickles
10 qts water
2 cps salt
1 qt vinegar
5 stalks dill
1 - Make a solution of the first 4 ingredients and bring to a boil.
2 - Fill crock with cucumbers, placing dill between layers of cucumbers.
3 - Add the hot solution.
4 - Onions or garlic may be added if desired.
5 - Cover crock and let stand several days before using.
6 - If preferred, cucumbers may be preserved in jars rather than in crock.
