Moselem Springs Apple Butter (Lotwaerick)
4 qts apples
2 qts water
1 1/2 qts cider
1 1/2 lbs sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cloves
1 - Wash and slice the apples into small bits.
2 - Cover with water and boil until soft.
3 - Press through a sieve to remove skins and seeds.
4 - Bring cider to a boil and then add apple pulp and sugar and cook until it thickens, constantly stirring to prevent scorching..
5 - Add spices and cook until it is thick enough for spreading.
6 - Pour into sterilized glasses and seal.
