Flash un Kas(To be Served with Beer)
2 cps flour
1/2 lb butter
1/2 lb cream cheese
1 - Work into the flour the butter and cream cheese.
2 - Chill thoroughly . . . .over night is not too long.
3 - Take pieces of dough and roll very thin as quickly as possible.
4 - Cut with a round cookie cutter, the size of a water glass or larger if desired.
5 - Spread with: 2 oz goose liver paste, seasoned with 1 tsp each of Lea and perrins and Beefsteak sauce
or 2 oz of ground Smithfield ham highly seasoned with 1 tsp A-1 saice and 1 tsp tomato catsup.
6 - Fold over and bake in a moderatly hot oven (400 degrees F.) until brown.
7 - They may be shaped earlier and baked just before serving.
8 - If served with cocktails, spread with anchovy paste, filet of anchovies, or caviar.
9 - Make somewhat smaller than the ones to be served with beer.
