Sweet Pepper Relish

    Source: Health for Victory Club (WWII vintage)

    3 red peppers
    3 green peppers
    2 medium size onions
    1 cp vinegar
    1/2 cp light corn syrup
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp celery salt


    1 - Wash peppers and remove stems and seeds.
    2 - Peel onions then grind onions and peppers together.
    3 - Cover with water and simmer for 15 minutes, then drain.
    4 - Add vinegar, corn syrup, salt, and celery salt.
    5 - Simmer 10 minutes, then store in a covered jar or in the refrigerator.
    Recipe amount - makes 1 pint
