Snap Beans and Tomatoes
1 medium size onion, chopped
2 tbsp buttter, fortified margarine, or drippings
2 1/2 cps cooked or canned tomatoes
1 small bay leaf
1 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp pepper
2 cps cooked, fresh snap beans, or canned snap beans
2 tbsp enriched all-purpose flour
2 tbsp cold water
1 tsp salt
1 - Chop onion very fine and cook in butter margerine, or drippings until brown.
2 - Add tomatoes, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
3 - Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
4 - Remove bay leaf.
5 - Add snap beans, then mix flour and water to a paste and add.
6 - Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Recipe amount - serves 6
