3 cps cooked, diced beets
1/2 cp. sugar
2 tbsp all-purpose enriched flour
1/2 cp vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter or fortified margerine
1/4 cp. water
1 - Mix the sugar and flour; add water and vinegar.
2 - Cook on medium heat until thick (about 10 minutes).
3 - Add salt and butter or margerine, then diced beets.
4 - Cover and continue cooking about 10 minutes.
