Select stalks with dark green, tightly closed buds.
Cut off the tough part of the stalk and coarse leaves.
Wash carefully and peel the stalks.
If the stalks are too large, for individual portions, split
to make more attractive size and shape.
1 - Place in a pan and cover with 1/2 - 3/4 cp water.
2 - Bring to boiling point on high heat, then reduce heat to sim mer
3 - Total cooking time about 25 minutes.
4 - Serve with melted butter or fortified margerine.
