Carefully break the eggs into a skillet which contains a small amount of
melted butter, margerine or bacon drippings. have geat turned low. (Your family may tell you that they like eggs fried
in lots of hot grease, but remember that too much heat and too much grease
not only will make the eggs highly indigestible but cause an unfortunate waste
of the food value they contain.
When eggs begin to set, add 1 tsp of water cover, tightly and cook to the desired hardness.
It is better to cook covered, but if cooked uncovered, baste the tops of the eggs with
shortening as they cook. For well done eggs, flip them over when thoroughly set and
beginning to harden.
