Hot Milk Cake
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cp sugar
1 cp sifted cake flour
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cp hot milk
1 tbsp shortening
1 - Beat eggs light and thick.
2 - Slowly add sugar and beat until very light and thick.
3 - Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
4 - Fold into egg and sugar mixture all at one time.
5 - Melt the shortening in the hot milk and add all at once.
6 - The addition of the flour an milk should only take about 60 seconds.
7 - Pour into well greased and floured pan
8 - Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
