Deep Dish Cherry Pie
Pastry for 1 crust
1 No. 2 can sour cherries OR 2 cps cherries and 3/4 cp juice
1 cp sugar
4 tbsp all-purpose enriched flour
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 - Drain juice from cherries.
2 - Mix the sugar, flour and cinnamon together, then mix with the cherries.
3 - Lastly, add the juice.
4 - Pour into a 1 1/2 qt casserole or a deep dish piepan and put crust only on top
5 - Pinch edges around the crust as for any 2 crust pie.
6 - Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 45 minutes.
