1 lb ground beef
1/3 cp soya meal
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 cp water
6 slices onion
2 tbsp shortening
6 slices bacon
1 - Add salt, pepper, and water to soya meal and
mix thoroughly with meat.
2 - Pat this mixture into 12 thin cakes.
3 - Spread onion slices which have been browned in shortening
on half of the meat cakes.
4 - Put the remaining cakes on top as a sandwich.
5 - Press edges together.
6 - Wrap each with a strip of bacon and fasten with a toothpick.
7 - Broil on each side about 10 minutes or until brown.
