Easy Spice Beets

3 cps cider vinegar
2 cps sugar
1 cp light brown sugar
2 cps water
2 tbsp mixed pickle spices
2 (one-inch) piecs stick cinnamon
2 tbsp salt
3 quarts(about 12 lbs raw) very small cooked or canned beets
1 - Mix all ingredients except beets in enamel or agate kettle.
2 - Bring to boiling, cover, boil 5 minutes.
3 - Add drained cooked or canned beets.
4 - Cover an boil quickly 8 to 10 minutes.
5 - Spoon beets into hot sterile glass jars; pour hot vinegar mixture over them.
6 - Seal at once.
7 - Let stand a month or longer before using.
Makes about 3 quarts
